- it takes two weeks from the birth date ( real life ) for the newborn foal to become a yearling.
- it takes a further two weeks ( a month in total ) for the yearling to become a two year old. the day after its become a two year old is the day it can begin racing.
- a month later the two year old will become a three year old. from then on the horse will age one year every month.
- stallions may start breeding at fifteen years old.
- mares may start breeding at ten years old.
- horses must retire from racing at twenty years old.
- horses must retire from breeding at thirty years old.
- horses must retire permenantly ( aka no longer available for use, just for us to see out of nostalgia ) at thirty years old.
breeding information.
- stallions may start breeding at fifteen years old, HOWEVER to start breeding the stallion must have been retired from racing. once retired, a horse cannot go back into racing.
- mares may start breeding at ten years old, HOWEVER to start breeding the mare must have been retired from racing. once retired, a horse cannot go back into racing.
- mares may only have one foal per real life month ( aka one foal each one year of its life ). natural birth only.
- the higher the racing level the sire and dam of a foal is upon their retirement the higher quality the foal will be and therefore the quicker the foal will level up. make sure to record the foal's sire and dam racing level in the foal's stat page.
- the more money the sire has made, and the higher level it has upon retirement, means the better quality of foals the stallion will produce. this means the stud fee for the stallion will be a hell of a lot more.
- for your stallion to be able to breed you MUST register it in the stud book.
- once a sire and dam has been found, and stud fee agreed, go to the foal generator to get the resulting foal! name of course is up to the owner of the dam, unless the owners of sire and dam have agreed otherwise.
